Michael J. Sheehan, CFP^®, CASL^®, APMA^®

Michael Sheehan is a Certified Financial Planner™ and the Managing Director of Lake Ridge Private Wealth, L.L.C. – a financial firm focused on the creation and preservation of wealth along with retirement planning strategies. With 29 years of experience in the financial services industry, Michael employs his knowledge and educational style to eliminate complexity when helping his clients make important financial decisions.

Recognizing that each client has their own story, life experiences, and needs, Michael is dedicated to understanding and appreciating each client’s situation. Some of his client specialties include physicians, academic administrators, and women navigating different stages of life.

Michael is committed to empowering his clients through education, assisting them in setting clear and achievable goals. He has had the privilege of delivering financial education courses at a prominent state university, equipping attendees with best practices, industry insights, and the confidence needed to make informed choices. “If I do a good job explaining the pros and cons of various planning and investment strategies, then my clients feel empowered to make financial decisions, and most importantly, stick with them long-term.”

As the financial industry and tax situations change, Michael believes it is important to further his education by pursuing designations so he can serve his clients to the best of his ability.

Michael was born and raised in the state of Vermont. His father was a State Attorney and his mother was a second-grade school teacher. Michael received his bachelor's degree from the University of Vermont with a degree in Political Science.

In his spare time, Michael enjoys traveling with his wife Abbey, and his three daughters Susanna, Payne, and Willa. Spending time on Smith Lake, dining with close friends, and being active, are some of his favorite things. Michael is a professional musician and was trained in guitar performance at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Performing live is something he has done since he was 14 years old.
